  • Singing lessons are definitely worth it. In addition to helping an individual strengthen and control their voice, they help build confidence, exercise the brain and improve mental health. Singing lessons teach healthy vocal habits and encourage musical exploration. When we are confident in our voices and gain the skills to reach our goals, we sing more.  The act of singing reduces stress by lowering cortisol levels and releasing endorphins and oxytocin.

  • Singing lessons will help any singer. Learning to sing is like any other physical skill and with proper guidance from a teacher and practice, anyone can learn to sing and improve their voice.

  • The amount of singing lessons needed varies on the individual’s current skill level and their goals. It takes anywhere from 6 months to 2 years for a new skill to become consistent and secure in the body. An individual’s musical background, natural ability, and physical awareness all play a part in how long it takes for a new skill to become second nature. A professional looking to brush up an audition song will require fewer lessons than a beginner who wants to become a part of their community choir or participate in a talent show.

  • Not at all! We welcome beginners, hobby singers, and advanced students alike. Lessons are customized to meet you where you are.

  • Students can learn any style they enjoy.  We believe all genres of music hold value and are equally important. Students are free to explore everything from what they hear on the radio to classical. We have student composers and also encourage musical improvisation.

  • Weekly lessons are recommended for steady progress, but bi-weekly or customized schedules can be arranged

  • I primarily use Zoom.  I have never used Google meet and occasionally have used Facetime.  I’m not sure how Google meet would work for voice lessons and would have to test it before offering that as a platform.

  • We encourage curiosity! Reach out anytime, and we’ll be happy to provide guidance tailored to your needs.
